Holidays at « Maquis des Pétroleuses »

My name is Frink. I’am lesbian. I have 2 children, 6 and 9 years old.
The « Maquis des Pétroleuses » is a living place in France, currently inhabited by women and lesbians. And also a dog, affectionate and sociable.
This is an invitation to join us for hours, days or weeks of holidays with intersex, women, they, dykes, fags, trans*gender people, and their children (if they have any!). Contact me for any question and to prevent for your visit.
There is a large garden. Trees, play houses, slide, trapeze and swing. A workshop with some tools. A library at home and in town. A bar restaurant, a museum, woodlands, a lake and a river just steps away.
We can camp, play, walk, tinker, garden, swim, hike, campfire, alone or with others … or just do nothing and rest.
I want to tinker with children: Making a pinhole, a drawing table with a « camera obscura ». But I do not want to put pressure on myself and commit to doing things.
Initiatives, proposals … are welcome !!!
To sleep, cook, wash … there is
- A large garden to camp, hang a hammock or to put a truck
- An old house with a single common room: internet office, basic omnivorous kitchen, a washing machine, 2 beds 1 place and 2 bed 2 places, a chimney.
- A newer house with 2 rooms currently occupied, a bathroom with hot water, toilets
(dry) and a vegetarian kitchen (trying to be vegan). - 1 dry toilet and a cold tap outside
Non-mixed and inclusiveness
The « Maquis » wants usually to be inclusive to women, dykes, intersex and trans people, but is not strictly « only for ». The inhabitants sometimes receive friends or family. Neighbors are often welcome to have a drink, give a hand. Neighbors’ children also visit us.
Sometimes there are weeks or weekends with non-mixed more or less restrictive, as this invitation for MOGAI people.
The « Maquis » is meant to be inclusive to trans and non-white / racialized persons. Currently the house is inhabited only by cis and white persons.
The « Maquis » is on a sloping ground. There are stairs. Overall the place is super
wheelchair accessible. Tips and help are welcome to change!
The place is not vegan nor vegetarian but we have 2 kitchens, 2 fridges … and pay attention to each other.
Alcohol
I drink beers sometime but I prefer to drink less than more, especially when I am with my children. To resist the temptation, I don’t want to be invited to drink at any time.
At the Maquis alcohol is not forbidden but there are some who do not drink … Be careful of each other.
Money and self-management
I propose that we decide as we go along how we organize ourselves for the money, the food and gas (kitchen and hot shower) depending on the means and needs ..
A small free participation will be welcome for the expenses of the house : water and
electricity.

Accessible by train (Nantes-Issé line) + 10 min by car or 30mn to 1h by bike
depending on the direction of the wind and the loading of the bike!
